Brian Balfour is Executive Vice President for the Civitas Institute. He has worked for the Civitas Institute for eleven years, and has a master’s degree in economics from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
Brian’s work has been featured on Fox News, the Drudge Report and Rush Limbaugh’s radio program. His articles have been published in several newspapers across North Carolina, including the Raleigh News & Observer, Fayetteville Observer, Greensboro News & Record and the Charlotte Business Journal. Brian has also appeared on several radio and television shows across the state offering commentary on fiscal policy issues affecting North Carolinians.
He is the author of the book “Economics in Action,” and also creator of the educational app Austrian Economics, a free app that teaches the free-market principles of the ‘Austrian School’ of economics.
