Views of Economy Improve — March 2017 Poll

Our March 2017 poll asked likely NC voters if they thought the recession had ended. This question had appeared on Civitas Polls since 2009, but this was the first time a plurality thought the recession had ended.

We asked:

How much longer do you think it will take for the economy to improve and the current recession to end? If you think the recession has ended just say so. (If Necessary: “Would you say…”)

The responses:

2% Under 6 months

13% Between 6 months and a year

20% Between 1 and 2 years

25% Over 2 years.

27% Recession has ended

12% Don’t Know

1% Refused
