Trump Approval Rating Breaks 50 Percent in North Carolina
May 30, 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
For the first time ever, a May Civitas poll shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating exceeding 50 percent in North Carolina. A total of 33 percent of North Carolinians “strongly approve” of the president, while 18 percent “somewhat approve.”
An October 2017 Elon poll had Trump’s approval rating at 34 percent in North Carolina. Democrats are relying on an unpopular president to help fuel their aspirations for a “blue wave” midterm election in 2018.
Crosstabs for the poll can be found here.
