Our recent poll looked at what NC voters thought of a Taxpayer Protection Act (TABOR), which puts a limit on the growth of state budgets. (This article from last year explains further.)
The most recent poll asked likely NC voters:
There is a proposed state constitutional amendment for voters, A Taxpayer Protection Act, which would place limitations on the amount the state budget could grow every year – largely tied to the growth rate of inflation plus population. There are provisions included which would allow the legislature and governor to override the Taxpayer Protection Act under extraordinary circumstances with a supermajority of legislators voting. Do you support or oppose the Taxpayer Protection Act?
