The coronavirus threatens not only the health of millions of North Carolinians, it is also altering our way of life. In little over a month, our economy has slowed, schools and businesses have closed, and once vibrant communities have been quieted. It’s a challenge we can meet, if we remember we all have a role to play: the public and private sectors; government and civil society.
It is encouraging to know that we can take steps now that will protect us from this public health threat, strengthen our institutions and economy, improve our schools, unleash the creativity of the private sector and reinvigorate our communities. Our recovery plan addresses five key areas for North Carolina:
Elections
State Budget & Tax
Education
Healthcare
Agriculture
Over the coming days and weeks we will address how coronavirus has impacted these five areas and what steps we can take to respond to current concerns.
