In this Under the Dome article, the News and Observer again fails to inform the reader that the advocacy group they are reporting for on is just another left-wing progressive liberal advocacy organization hiding behind a moral and honorable name and mission (lobbying reform). Heck, everybody thinks lobbyists should be reformed – don’t they?
The Coalition for Lobbying and Government Reform is a “project” of NC Common Cause – a well known leftist group that has perfected the art of naming and describing their endeavors in such a way that no sensible person could disagree.
Porter Jennings says
I am pretty sure that the John Locke Foundation and the Family Policy Council are members of the Coalition for Lobbying and Government Reform.
gregflynn says
Porter, yes, and some “community organizer” named Art Pope, and that anarchist group NC Institute for Constitutional Law. http://www.nclobbyreform.org/about/members.php

Please talk about the pot calling the kettle black… do you even think before you post your nonsense Susan?
Bob Phillips says
Susan,
Indeed Mr. Pope help initiate the Coalition for Lobbying and Government Reform and was instrumental in helping us pass the state’s most comprehensive lobbying reform legislation in 2007. And if you didn’t know it, John Hood continues to provide us with valuable advice along with Chris Fitzsimon of NC Policy Watch and others on both sides of the political spectrum. Happy to invite you over so you can learn more about us!

Bob,
How did that get out the vote activity in the 2011 Wake Board of Education Election work out? And i suppose you are nuetral on voterID laws and the 2011 redistricting?Keep saying you are just a good government group. Some people still believe it.
Bob Phillips says
Francis
The Coalition has never engaged in get out the vote activity nor does it have a position on Voter ID. Common Cause- my organization, is a member– just like the John Locke Foundation. Glad you’re interested in CCNC’s work- but don’t confuse us with the mission of the Coalition.
