Why does education not innovate and grow like successful businesses? That’s an interesting question at the heart of the late Andrew Coulson’s three-part documentary School Inc. The series airs this month on many PBS stations across the country. Early reviews for Coulson, formerly of the Cato Institute, have been encouraging.
What hasn’t been encouraging is learning that no PBS station in North Carolina is scheduled to air the series. When I tried contacting a local PBS station, all I could do was share my comments via email.
Wrong? Yes. What can I do about it? That’s a good question.
Maybe NCDPI and NC PBS stations are in cahoots with each other!
