Who will do the NC AFL-CIO’s math?
Today’s Money Monday is about “voting rights” and you know what that means… A lot of talk about promoting a free-for-all at as many voting places on as many days as possible.
Word around the legislature is that it’s the same people turning up week after week. Last week they donned pink shirts to signify solidarity with women. This week the coordinating group, NC AFL-CIO, has instructed everyone to wear union shirts.
Interesting to note that North Carolina has the lowest union membership rate at 2.9 percent, compare that to the New York (the state with the highest union membership rate) at 23.2 percent.
Here is part of an email from the AFL-CIO
North Carolina’s unions are planning now for another major turnout for the next Moral Monday – the 12th Wave on July 22. WEAR UNION SHIRTS!

Can we stop calling it Moral Monday?
Call it what it is: Moron Monday.

I called it Money Monday – because that’s what it’s all about. The groups organizing these little get togethers on Mondays have been awarded more than $100 million in direct State grants in recent years. They are terrified of losing easy money…
