The N.C. House is hosting a public forum this evening to solicit feedback regarding their budget proposal for the fiscal year that begins July1.
The N&O has the details:
The House Appropriations Committee scheduled a statewide public hearing Monday night based at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. Community colleges in Sylva, Charlotte and Bladen County will serve as video conferencing sites.
The event also will be streamed on the Internet. The public also can send e-mails and letters making suggestions until Tuesday.
Now is your chance to be heard. If House members need a reminder of why the state budget is in such shambles, you can use this article to refresh their memory.
