So hours before a special session of the General Assembly is announced, State Senator Josh Stein (D-Wake) resigns from office. He waited for almost a week after winning the primary to announce and it coincided with the announcement of a special session to deal with the recently passed Charlotte Bathroom Ordinance. Is his leaving really about his campaign or an attempt to not go on record over this issue. His fall opponent State Senator Buck Newton will be there voting – Stein’s seat will be empty. His voters in Raleigh and Wake county will have no representative there.
I had no representation when Stein WAS in the seat.
