Heritage’s “The Foundry” blog has noted that the newly elected governors of several states have decided to sue the Obama administration as a way to stop Obamacare from materializing. More specifically, Gov. Mary Fallin of Oklahoma has announced that his state will pursue its own case against the law, while Govs. John Kasich (R -OH) and Scott Walker (R – WI) will add their states to Florida’s multi-state suit. In addition, Maine’s Attorney General William Schneider also announced his state would be joining Florida’s suit. That brings the number of states on the Florida suit to 23 and the total number of states suing to stop Obamacare (which includes Virginia and Oklahoma) to 25. States are realizing the threat to their own fiscal health under Obamacare is too close for comfort and unsustainable long term.
Will the political change in the General Assembly pressure our own Governor and Attorney General to reconsider NC’s position on Obamacare before its too late? Now if only I had my crystal ball…
