Coulter on What Obamacare Is Really Like

Some recent propaganda has it that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is growing more popular.

That’s because the Democrats are frantically granting exemptions, waivers and delays to cushion the blow. But what happens when you actually have to sign up for it?

Ann Coulter, who will be speaking Saturday at our Conservative Leadership Conference, has the answer in a devastating column about what happened when she wanted to get health insurance. For example:

So my only two health insurance options — and yours, too, as soon as the waivers expire, America! — are: (1) a plan that no doctors take; or (2) a plan that no hospitals take. You either pay for all your doctor visits and tests yourself, or you pay for your cancer treatment yourself. And you pay through the nose in either case.

That’s not insurance! It’s a huge transfer of wealth from people who work for a living to those who don’t, accomplished by forcing the workers to buy insurance that’s not insurance. Obamacare has made actual health insurance “illegal.”

Before I provide a link, a disclaimer: her column has a bit of rude language. Also, the column is written as if in response to blogger Mickey Kaus, a liberal who defends national health care. (I should add he’s very good on many other topics.)
