When Jesse Helms first went to Washington, as an aide to Senator Smith, in 1951, Helms produced one of the first radio broadcasts for constituents. In the current age of technology, producing such a radio broadcast would be very inexpensive over the Internet. Airtime on radio waves may be more expensive, but may also reach more people. I think this would be a great way for Congress to stay in touch with their constituents. After all, aren't they there to represent us?
