Stephen Colbert took to the Comedy Central stage last night and expressed concerns about schools adopting the Common Core by mocking some of the sample math problems assigned to students.
He sums it up best when referring to the answer a California 2nd grader gave on one of the math problems: “Folks this child has a bright future. He is only in second grade, and can already clearly explain what it feels like to think. Now we just need to get him to explain what that feels like to whoever wrote the Common Core questions.”
