Liberals in North Carolina are going everywhere and talking to anybody who will listen to try to stop election reform in North Carolina.
In this News and Observer blog we are told of Congressman David Price’s attempt to block the election reform that North Carolina’s voters want most (voter ID).
Price has signed on to three different bills that are being promoted by the Democratic National Committee. The bills, include a prohibition on voter ID, a requirement to make same-day voter registration available at the polling place on the election days and another that would require states to allow absentee voting by mail.
Friday, I blogged about William Barber and the NC NAACP looking to the United Nations to block voter ID legislation and other election reforms.
Federal, state and local elections are administered by state and local governments and the Constitution and laws of the United States give the states a great deal of freedom to administer their own elections. It looks like Barber and Price are wasting time and their constituents money, but in the end, they are getting what the want most – the free publicity from their most important partner – the mainstream media.
