The impact of school choice on housing markets and economic development in urban areas is a fascinating subject that our friend Professor Bart Danielsen of N.C. State has been exploring for a number of years. We’re glad his research has been catching the interest of a growing number of people in and outside of academia.
EdChoice.org recently released a study by Professor Danielsen, David M. Harrison and Jing Zhao that identifies charter schools as possible engines of economic development and renewal for many urban areas.
