Art Pope, philanthropist and business man, is scheduled to appear on WRAL’s “On the Record” tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
Art Pope is the CEO of Variety Wholesalers, Inc and Chairman of the John William Pope Foundation, which funds numerous charitable activities and is a contributor to Civitas.
Ultra-liberal organizations including the NCAE, the NC Democratic Party, the NC NAACP and far-left lobbying organizations such as DemocracyNC have been spending time and money calling for boycotts of his family’s company.
Art will answer his liberal critics with his appearance “On the Record” with David Crabtree.
Remember the show airs this Saturday, February 4 at 7 p.m.
Mr. Pope came across as a gentleman who knows what he is talking about. He let us know he is acting within his constitutional rights to support causes and candidates of his choice. I appreciated him pointing out that the Democrats far outspent the Republicans during the last election so it is hard to understand how some people think he has been “buying” the elections and therefore the state.
In my small corner of WNC he bought our Senator… he votes with Pope’s agenda against his district and it only cost Pope about 250,000 dollars to buy him… that granny would be why we know he is buying elections -because plain and simple Republicans think a million dollars counts more than a million votes… American values… no- more suited to a facist nation but if you vote for conservatives in 2012 it is just like opening our doors to a facist regime the GOP must be voted out in 2012…
Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
