The Northern Wake Republican Club has picked up a story published in various media outlets (here and here) about Wake County School Board member John Tedesco facing foreclosure on his house. As most of you know John has been without a job since last April when he left his position at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wake County. It was widely speculated at the time that Tedesco’s opposition to Wake County’s diversity policy roiled the organization’s leadership and forced his decision.Evidently, the left’s well-honed distinction between public and private conduct — made so famous by a certain president during the late nineties — comes up differently when it involves conservatives.
The foreclosure story is a cheap shot at someone who’s sacrificed much to serve on the Wake County School Board and is now going through difficult personal circumstances. Evidently compassion and understanding don’t reach across party lines.
