After taking December off for the holiday season, Civitas is back with its monthly poll of the issues and politics of critical importance to North Carolina voters.
We'll be releasing the results over the next few days with the full release of the poll at our monthly poll luncheon, which is now on the last Thursday of each month.
This month we've got two fantastic guest panelists who will be able to shed some very unique insight on the current state of politics and what's going on in North Carolina.
Our guests this month are:
Jack Hawke, former President of the Civitas Institute and strategist for Pat McCrory's bid for governor
Mac McCorkle – longtime Democratic strategist who just helped Bev Perdue in her election for Governor.
So we'll have the two strategists for the gubernatorial campaigns joining us for lunch this Thursday. Should be some very good insight on what happened last November.
If you'd like to attend and haven't signed up yet, please do so here. The cost is $10 and is located at the Clarion Hotel on Hillsborough Street in downtown Raleigh.
Results coming up include: initial approval ratings for Obama and Perdue; An early look at the candidates for US Senate in 2010; and voters' opinion on some of the issues facing the General Assembly when they head back to town tomorrow.
Stay tuned…
