On the November ballot, Wake County taxpayers will be asked to raise the sales tax to pay for mass transit. But Paul Fitts of the Wake County Taxpayers Association says some of that money could possibly go to projects in other counties. It seems to be that the Capitol Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will decide what to do with the money, and CAMPO could possibly allocate it for, say, the Durham-Chapel Hill light rail line.
