RALEIGH, N.C. – Today Civitas Polling released its latest statewide poll, which covered a broad range of issues, including voter priorities going into this year’s election.
In a generic ballot for the state legislature, Democrats are 8 points ahead of Republicans, with 42 percent of respondents stating they would vote for the Democratic candidate on the ballot. Thirty-four percent say they intend to vote for the Republican candidate.
In the May Civitas Poll, Republicans and Democrats were tied at 40 percent.

This statewide poll surveyed 600 likely voters (35% on cell phones) with a margin of error +/- 4.0%. This survey was taken June 7 and 9-10, 2018.
