Last week the Daily Tar Heel, a news publication of one of the country’s top journalism schools, ran this column by one of its staff members entitled “Depth of My Trump Anger.”
You know what? Don’t even bother clicking on the link. Let me sum it up for you: the author simply states “Trump is the worst” 154 times in a row.
That The Daily Tar Heel would run a so-called “column” like this clearly communicates that the publication has no interest in credible journalism. Their liberal bias previously made their integrity questionable, but it is now abundantly clear from this poorly worded rant session that they’ve abandoned any attempt to be considered a serious news source at all. This has nothing to do with the fact that the “column” in question slights President Trump.
Repeating the same phrase 154 times without punctuation, regardless of what the phrase is, does not qualify as journalism.
