Other Results, Including Presidential Race, to be Released Wednesday
RALEIGH – The newest Civitas Poll reveals who likely North Carolina voters favor for the major parties’ vice presidential candidates.
Asked to name any person they preferred, 13 percent of likely voters who support Donald Trump made Newt Gingrich their top choice. Twenty-one percent of Democrats backing Hillary Clinton named Sen. Bernie Sanders as their favorite.
A Civitas poll lunch Wednesday, June 29 will provide insights on this and a range of issues facing North Carolina voters, including the presidential race, governor’s race, health care mandates, sanctuary cities, college tuition, and more.
The commentary will be by Joe Stewart of the NC FreeEnterprise Foundation, along with Civitas President Francis De Luca. They will take attendees inside the numbers to gain further insight into public opinion today.
Wednesday’s poll lunch will take place 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton hotel, 1707 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27605. More information on the luncheon is available here.
