Conservative Leadership Conference Set for March 27-28 in Cary
RALEIGH – The Civitas Institute is proud to announce that Heritage Foundation President and former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint will be speaking at the Conservative Leadership Conference (CLC), which runs March 27-28 at the Embassy Suites in Cary.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jim DeMint to CLC this year,” Civitas Communications Director Jim Tynen said. “He is one of the country’s most respected advocates of conservative principles. When he spoke at CLC in 2013, he outlined an uplifting vision of an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society flourish. We are confident he will inform and energize CLC attendees this year.”
At CLC 2015, he will join a slate of dynamic speakers that includes Dr. Ben Carson and Lt. Gov. Dan Forest. Other speakers and breakout sessions will be announced in coming weeks.
Jim DeMint served as a U.S. Senator from South Carolina from 2004 to 2013, and before that was a congressman from the Palmetto State. Prior to his terms in Congress, he ran the DeMint Group, a marketing research and strategic planning business.
Founded in 1973, The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institution — a think tank — whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.
CLC is the premier conservative conference in North Carolina. Every year at CLC, hundreds of concerned Americans come together to learn about, discuss, and advance free markets and conservative ideas. For more information, go to civitasclc.com/.
