Web & IT Intern – Paid Internship Available at the Civitas Institute

The Civitas Institute, located in downtown Raleigh, is looking for a college student or recent graduate to be part of its team. As an intern, you will be critical in the day-to-day operations of the organization. You will learn many skills and be vital in different aspects of IT & web development. You will work alongside coworkers in creating a thriving web presence. Some of your duties will include:

• HTML Newsletter Design
• Web Article Formatting
• Input with Web Design & Development
• In-house Technical Support

Some things you will need to be familiar with:

• WordPress
• HTML
• CSS
• Adobe Photoshop (or similar graphics editor like GIMP, etc)
• General Windows & Mac Use

Other skill that would be nice (but not necessary):

• JavaScript/jQuery
• PHP
• MySQL
• Web Host Maintenance
• Active Directory
• Social Media Experience

This is a paid position. Hours are during the day, but are negotiable/TBD.
