RALEIGH – The Civitas Institute notes that Public Schools First NC, a member of the left-wing Blueprint North Carolina “eviscerate network,” played a major role in the protests against the North Carolina Legislature on Monday. The protests were organized by the NCAE, North Carolina’s national teachers’ union (National Education Association – NEA) affiliate.
Public Schools First NC, a project of Wake Up Wake County and the North Carolina Justice Center (both Blueprint NC members), organized a press conference in front of the Capitol in connection with teacher “walk-in” protests.
In February, Blueprint NC distributed a memo outlining a “collective statewide strategy” to attack Republicans and conservatives in North Carolina. The memo called for “[c]rippling their leaders (McCrory, Tillis, Berger etc.).” and using tactics to “eviscerate the leadership and weaken their ability to govern.”
“The people of North Carolina need to know that these protests are organized and backed by left-wing groups, including Public Schools First NC, who have pursued destructive, divisive tactics,” Civitas President Francis X. De Luca said. “Now they have stooped to including the use of public school children in their ‘eviscerate’ antics meant to attract media attention.”
The Civitas Institute is a policy institute based in Raleigh, N.C. More information is available at www.nccivitas.org, or contact Jim Tynen at (919) 834-2099 or james.tynen@nccivitas.org.

Did anyone happen to notice that the Walk-In teachers were wearing the happy color of the collectivists? RED as in Marxists!
Yeah, the public educational collectives in North Carolina fare pretty well when you tally the local, state, and Federal funding. The NCAE and their minions fail to total up the shake down that the taxpayers have to dole out.
