RALEIGH – A new article from the Civitas Institute, “Transparency and the Ivory Tower,” sheds light on the group that recently described Civitas’ request for public records from UNC Professor Gene Nichol as an “abuse of power” that was “unprecedented in our state’s political history.”
The group’s claims are way off the mark. Nor is the group as objective as its current name implies. Scholars for North Carolina’s Future has portrayed itself as a group of impartial experts. In reality, it is an activist organization that advances a far left-wing agenda.
